Apple Cider Vinaigrette

  • 6 tablespoons oil (canola or vegetable)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Honeycrisp Harvest Salad

  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • 1 large Honeycrisp apple
  • bacon pieces
  • dried cranberries
  • bleu cheese crumbles
  • pecan halves

Instructions
 

Apple Cider Vinaigrette

  • Whisk or blend all ingredients together.
  • Chill until ready to use.

Honeycrisp Apple Salad

  • Chop the lettuce, then rinse and dry.
  • Peel the apple and cut into bite-size pieces.
  • Place the chopped lettuce in a large bowl with a lid. Pour half of the dressing over the lettuce. Place the lid on the bowl, and shake to toss. Divide the lettuce between four individual bowls.
  • Top the lettuce with the chopped apple, bleu cheese, dried cranberries, crumbled bacon, and pecans. Drizzle the remaining dressing over the salad. Serve.
