Ingredients

  • 1 pound cubed beef stew meat
  • 1 can (10.5 ounce) condensed golden mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  • Combine beef, soup, onion, water, and Worcestershire sauce in a slow cooker.
  • Cook on Low for 8 hours or High for 5 hours. Stir in cream cheese just before serving to prevent curdling.

Notes

Swap cream of mushroom soup for golden mushroom if needed. Stir in ½ cup red wine with the soup for a deeper flavored sauce. You can add some sliced mushrooms for extra texture. Serve over noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes with a green salad or steamed green beans.
